Soft tissue surgery is a broad discipline covering conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract, the airways, and the urinary system, amongst others (essentially anything that isn’t covered by orthopaedics and neurology). The soft tissue surgery service is able to accept referrals by pre-arranged appointments. We are happy to discuss all types of soft tissue case management with veterinary surgeons. In addition the soft tissue surgery service provides expertise to complement the other services such as the surgical management of ear disease.
If your pet comes for a soft tissue appointment they will be assessed by a Specialist and surgical treatment will be discussed as appropriate. If they would benefit from surgery then in most instances it will be performed on the same day.
